Transfer from airport


Day 1: Tbilisi city tour (Duration 6-7 hours)
In the morning, the driver and guide will pick up from the hotel. The first place of destination is at Old Tbilisi. In the old city we also visit Metekhi church 13th c presents one of the most important architectural monuments of old Tbilisi. , take a walk on the tourist beloved Bridge of Piece.
Ride up to Narikala Fortress by the aerial cable car and admire the views of the city from high. There is a great view of old district from this area.
Abanot-ubani – natural Sulphur springs, bath-houses built in XVI-XVII centuries; Tbilisi City Tour through city includes visiting fascinating historical monuments in the old part of Tbilisi. Visiting Leghvatkhevi waterfall.
Next step of our tour is to drive via Freedom Square to Mtatsminda funicular lower station and take a tram to Mtatsminda park. Take a walk in the park and enjoy panoramic views of the city. Mtatsminda: “The Holy Mountain” is at the altitude of 729 m above the sea level, with a leading position over the city. Near the Saint David’s church there is a pantheon of famous Georgian public figures. Above the Holy Mtatsminda mountain there is a park overlooking the city, with nice attractions for children as well as for adults, and different types of cafes and restaurants.
Finally, at the end of Tbilisi City Tour you will visit Turtle lake


Day 2: Ananuri-Gudauri-Kazbegi
(Duration 8-10 hours)
Ananuri Gudauri and Kazbegi with the itinerary from the capital city Tbilisi to the snow-capped peak of the Mount Kazbek will open up an enchanting Georgia.
Kazbegi Tour starts at 9am. Our driver and guide will pick you up at your hotel. The route will take over the Georgian Military Highway up North towards the border with Russia.
The first stop is in Ananuri complex. Here we will visit the old church and get on the highest defensive tower which is located on the Jinvali reservoir.
Afterwards, passing skiing resort Gudauri, after we will get to the village Kazbegi, which lies on the root of mountain Kazbegi. We will go up to the church of Saint Trinity on top of mountain Gergeti (2170 m). From here you can and enjoy breathtaking views of Kazbegi.
After visiting church, we will return to the village and see ethnographic museum of Kazbegi. After, at your option have dinner at one of the local restaurants. About nightfall we will drive back to Tbilisi.

 

Day 3: Gori – Uplistsikhe – Borjomi  (Duration 8-10 hours)
The tour starts from Tbilisi at 9:00. Our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel.
Then we continue our way towards the town of Gori, birthplace of Stalin. Visit the Museum of the dictator, where you will see the old house where he was born and lived in his early childhood, as well as the museum and the train car in which he was driving, for example, at the Yalta Conference.

Near Gori, about 20 kilometers, you will find an amazing place - the cave city Uplistsikhe, Uplistsikhe is an ancient cave – town in, approximately 12 kilometers east of the town of Gori. Uplistsikhe was carved in a rock and originated in the early first millennium B.C, so it is one of the most important archeological sites and monuments of the Georgian culture. The Uplistsikhe complex covers an area of approximately 8 hectares. The middle part is the largest, contains a bulk of the Uplistsikhe rock-cut structures, and is connected to the southern part via a narrow rock-cut pass and a tunnel. Narrow alleys and sometimes staircases radiate from the central "street" to the different structures.

The Borjomi National Park- The history of the park dates back to Medieval times when it was used primarily by the local aristocracy for hunting. During the entry of Georgia into the Russian Empire Duke Mikhail Nikolayevich had a great influence on the fate of the edge, who was brother of Alexander II, the former governor-general of the Caucasus. He found a local beauty of the park and decided to build an impressive building as his summer residence. Later, he has reserved a large territory and banned hunting without an authorization.

Day 4: Wine tour in Kakheti (Duration 8-10 hours)
Wine production in Georgia has 8000 years' history. Georgia is called as a motherland of wine. Georgian wine is not only a story, but myths and legends.
In this short but rather intensive one-day tour in Kakheti, you will learn about all aspects of winemaking: growing and collection of the best sorts of grapes, making special clay vessels for aging of wine, degustation details, preparation of refreshments to Georgian wine and many others. Almost every family in the countryside in Kakheti is also wine producer.

At 09:00 our driver will meet you at your hotel and guide to start the journey to Kakheti.
The first destination is Alaverdi Cathedral, (20 km Northwest from Telavi). Alaverdi Cathedral is one of the most important orthodox monuments in Georgia. You will have a short walk through charming streets of old Telavi and a photo stop at the monument
after Drive to Tsinandali, the residence of dukes of Georgia with beautiful English garden, a museum, and the wine cellar which belonged to prince Chavchavadze. You will taste wine there.
Final stop will be at"Twins" wine cellar in village Napareuli. Here you can find very interesting wine museum where and learn Georgian way of wine production. You will be able to try yourself at baking Georgian bread, cooking national dessert churchkhela, harvesting and squeezing grapes for wine.
Finally, through Gombori Pass return to Tbilisi.

 

Day 5: Mtskheta and shoping
The tour starts from Tbilisi at 9:00. Our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel.
Mtskheta dates back for more than 3000 years ago and is one of the oldest cities of the country and also first capital. It is surprisingly beautiful and elegant. The city is located among Rocky Mountains, at the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. The historical monuments of Mtskheta are a Unesco World Heritage Site. The city is just a few kilometers away from Tbilisi. Here you will see the cathedral of Svetitskhoveli and the Jvari monastery on the top of mountain near the city, with its excellent views.
Jvari (Monastery of the Holy Cross VI century) is one of the most outstanding monuments of medieval Georgia, located on Mount Armazi at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers, overlooking the ancient town of Mtskheta. View from the top is simply mesmerizing.
